Frequently Asked Questions

What does it cost to sell my stuff with Sell Your Stuff and Things?

There are NO upfront costs for most transactions! Only after your item sells, we deduct eBay service fees and our commission.

So why shouldn’t I just sell it myself?

You definitely could, but we take the hassle out of the entire eBay selling process! We photograph your item, we write the copy, we place the ad, we collect the payment, and then we professionally pack and ship your item! All you have to do is sit back, watch your item sell on eBay, and then cash your check.

Another unique feature is that we market your item with similar items. By expertly picking the right eBay category, we make sure we are targeting the right buyer for the right items and that means more money in your pocket!

So, how long does it take?

Generally, from the time you drop-off an item to the time you get a check in your hands is only 3 to 8 weeks!

Can I watch the auction/listing while it’s in progress?

Of course! That’s part of the fun! We’ll send you a link when we list the item and you can follow all the action.

What if my item doesn’t sell?

This doesn’t happen very often, but if it doesn’t sell, we’ll send you an e-mail and give you the option of relisting your item, or you can pick it up from us within 10 days. If you don't want it returned to you, we can donate it to charity of your choice!

I’m not comfortable with the $14.99 opening bid. Can I set a minimum selling price for my auction?

Sure! You can set a "reserve" price and your item doesn’t sell until the bidding reaches that price! But this service does incur a nonrefundable fee of $30.00 plus 1% of whatever price you want to set. Just keep in mind that a Reserve Price tends to limit bidding activity. Lower opening bids tend to attract more buyers in the eBay community and that means more bids for more money! eBay’s research shows that an auction that starts at a lower opening bid will almost always sell for a higher ending value than an identical item with an opening bid near the item’s final value.

Can I bid on my own auctions?

No. This is called “shill bidding” and is strictly prohibited by eBay. For that reason, we do not allow our team members and their families to bid on our store’s auctions.

Can I purchase items from others sellers in your store?

Absolutely! While we do not sell anything directly through our store, you are more than welcome to bid on or purchase our items listed on eBay.
